Crew Skill : Unknown
Crew : 1 Pilot
Skeleton Crew : 1 Pilot
Troop Capacity : 2 Passengers
Cost of Craft : Around 35,000 Credits
Nav Computer : Yes
Sublight Speed : 4 Space Units
Hyperdrive Rating : Class 3
Hyperdrive Backup : Class 15
Atmospheric Speed : 950 kph (WEG=350)
Manoeuvrability : 1D
Cargo Space : 40 Cubic Metres
Cargo Capacity : 100 Metric Tons

Weapons : 1 Turreted Laser Cannon
Fire Control: 0D
Space Range: 1-5/15/20 Space Units
Atmospheric Range: 2-10/30/60 km
Damage: 3D (Special)
NOTE: Laser cannon's special damage is that for each shot absorbed by the shields, the damage of the cannon goes up by +1. When the shields absorb 3 hits, the generator overloads and shuts down for 3 rounds while it recalibrates. Both the +1 and the overload effect reset to zero after 10 rounds automatically. The generator can be replaced for 10,000 Credits, but the cannon loses its additive damage.
Sensors : Passive : 30 Space Units/0D
Scan : 45 Space Units/1D
Search : 60 Space Units/2D
Focus : 5 Space Units/3D
Shields/Hull Rating : Shields 3D. Hull 3D
Note : The Zol-Uvena owned by Yurdak Fav had improved manoeuvrability and a different weapon system, a more powerful turreted laser cannon with no special damage bonus. The Outward Bound owned by Jobany Cyrs has faster hyperdrive, stronger hull, and turreted double laser cannon (has same special bonus, less atmospheric range, but superior fire control). TBSOS is inconsistant with the canopy; Pg 92 shows canopy opens to the side, with hinges on left hand side.

The Pathfinder was introduced 63 years ago (as of one year before the Battle of Hoth) as a cutting edge, one person scout ship. This craft was one of the first ships of its size to include both a hyperdrive generator and computer-assisted weapons. Due to the destruction of several Pathfinders from explosions that occurred in their power supplies when the shield overloaded, production was ceased. Its turret located on the bottom neck, right behind cockpit. Its landing gear has wheels, and its canopy slides back.

The original intention was to create shields that would absorb damage and channel the energy back into the weapon systems. This idea was successful to a point. If the shields were hit with enough energy, the Pathfinder's power system overloads and drops the shields. Aside from that slight flaw, this craft is still a top choice for independent scouts. It is an inexpensive and reliable ship, and has ample room for either passengers or cargo. The Pathfinder is one of the most successful of all of the privately own ships still in the scouting service.
