Imperial Intelligence learned that the Nharwaak were attempting to follow through with their threat of handing over their version of the hyperdrive technology to the Rebels. The Rebels were loading the equipment from the Nharwaak. The Rebels were placing great importance on obtaining the technology, so they put their best pilots and fighters into this battle. The Nebulon-B2 Frigate Shamus was sent to prevent the technology transfer from occurring. The Empire's goal was to stop the Rebels from obtaining the same technology the Empire had just obtained. So, three TIE Bombers and three Assault Gunboats were deployed to deal with the fighter threat. The Rebel Nebulon-B Frigate Xerxes hypered into the area in front of Stele about 20 standard seconds after the start of the battle. Stele targeted the nearby B-Wings and sent his wingmen to destroy them. Stele targeted the Rebel frigate and selected one of its turrets. Stele used concussion missiles and his laser cannons to help remove some of the frigate's weapons afar and point-blank range.

After Stele made his first pass on the frigate, he used the Corkscrew Avoid maneuver, until he was safely out of the frigate's weapon's range. Stele recharged his weapons and shields before making another pass. At the mid point of the battle, the Imperial Nebulon-B2 Frigate Shamus moved beside the Rebel frigate and opened fire on it with everything it had. The Rebel gunners who were firing at Stele soon forgot about him and concentrated their fire on the attacking Imperial frigate. With the frigates engaged, Stele went after an A-Wing. He fired a pair of concussion missiles at it from a distance and destroyed it. As the Rebel frigate was nearing its destruction, it launched a transport which was trying to escape the area. Stele inspected it before he destroyed it. Soon after the Rebel frigate was no more. After the Rebel frigate was destroyed, the Nharwaak Corvettes Glazer and Janson arrived, but they too met the same fate as the previous corvette. In the end all of the Rebel and Nharwaak craft were destroyed. The Empire was successful in stopping the Rebels from acquiring the new hyperdrive technology.
