After the Rebels evacuation
at their outpost at Gelgelar, the Rebels were forced to transfer the many
seriously wounded that needed immediate medical attention to the Medical
Frigate Redemption before they could rejoin the Rebel Fleet in the Airam
Sector. Rogue and Gold Squadrons were assigned in the protecting of the
transfer operation of wounded and medical supplies to the Medical Frigate.
The YT-1300 Lanigiro was the first to arrive and dock with the frigate,
after that it stayed on station to assist if any trouble were to arise.
Soon after the Lambda-class Shuttle Compassion arrived to transfer its
wounded passengers. With that, the ISD Nemesis came out of hyperspace and
began to deploy its TIEs. Both Rogue and Gold Squadrons headed towards
the ISD Nemesis to engage its starfighters. The TIE Bombers targeted the
Lambda Shuttle Compassion with proton torpedoes until it made its jump
into hyperspace, with that they turned their attention on the newly arrived
Medium Transports. During the battle Assault Gunboats hypered into the
area to take out the Rebel's medical frigate, but were unfortunately thwarted.
Throughout the entire battle, Rebel transports were hypering out of the
area. After the Imperial starfighters were defeated, the ISD Nemesis moved
to engage the Rebel medical frigate, but it caused little damage, instead
the medical frigate caused significant shield damage to the ISD Nemesis
shields due to the fact the frigate was under the ISD and that the ISD
could not fire back. Unfortunately, the frigate was able to hyper out of
the area along with the rest of the Rebels Z-95 Headhunters and the YT-1300
Lanigiro.
