The Empire used the element
of surprise to attack this Rebel starfighter base. Most of the starfighters
located at the Rebel storage facility were unmanned. The TIE Advanced moved
quickly to destroy the Rebel starfighters, while the Rebel tugs were scrambling
to get the Rebel starfighters manned. All of the Rebel starfighters except
for the Z-95 Headnunters were not operational. A short time after the battle
started 3 TIE Bombers were launched to destroy the Rebel cargo containers.
In the end all of the Rebel craft in the area were destroyed. With the
attack a complete success the Rebellion's effectiveness in this sector
was reduced.
