Three TIE Fighters from Alpha, Beta and Gamma groups were deployed to ensure that a Habeen convoy would safely make it to the rendezvous point with Admiral Zaarin's ship, the Nebulon-B2 Frigate Shamus. The Empire was interested in this area of space, since a group of scientists working for the Habeen and the Nharwaak had made a breakthrough where the Empire had failed to do so. Admiral Zaarin's scientists working the on the new TIE Advanced, were not able to find a design of hyperdrive that was small or reliable enough to be installed. Admiral Zaarin had negotiated to obtain demonstration versions of the new hyperdrive to evaluate. It was learned from the Habeen, that the co-developers of this advancement, that the Nharwaak were not as eager to sell their the hyperdrive technology to the Empire. In fact they were edging towards selling the technology to the Rebellion.
Stele inspected the Cargo Ferries of the Habeen convoy as ordered by the Secret Order. Moments after the start of the battle, Nharwaak raiders made their attack. Three Y-Wings per side of the convoy had hypered into the area. Stele targeted the closest Y-Wing and ordered his wingmen to take it out, while he engaged another Y-Wing. The TIE Fighters were able to destroy all of the nearby Y-Wings. The Nharwaak corvettes entered the area next, coming across Stele's flight path. A short time after the start of the battle, the Nebulon-B2 Frigate Shamus hypered into the area and launched TIE Interceptors and TIE Bombers. Stele used a couple of his missiles on a distant Y-Wing. The two corvettes that had hypered into the area were going after the Habeen convoy. In response to this, Stele targeted the turbolaser turrets of the corvettes and fired one missile at each. He had fired a total of four missiles.
Stele came in close to the
corvettes to inspect them, he also fired concussion missiles at the corvettes
from the side. More Y-Wings arrived and had already began to launch proton
torpedoes. In doing so, Stele scrambled to intercept the torpedoes. He
was partially successful, he destroyed three of the four proton torpedoes
that had been fired. Stele sent his wingmen to attack the Y-Wings, he later
joined them in the engagement. In the end, all of the Nharwaak raiders
were destroyed. With the threat to the convoy eliminated, the Cargo Ferries
docked with the Nebulon-B2 Frigate Shamus and offloaded their cargo
to the Imperial ship.
