Two Assault Gunboats were
sent to escort three Imperial freighters to their hyperspace jump point
which was several km away. The Rebel Nebulon-B Frigate Dodger arrived
in the area moments after the arrival of the Assault Gunboats. The Rebel
frigate launched fighters in waves to attack the Assault Gunboats, in an
effort to draw them away from the freighters, while Rebel fighters armed
with proton torpedoes would destroy the Imperial freighters. For
the next 11 minutes the Rebels tried this strategy without success. Thirteen
minutes into the battle, the last of the Rebel starfighters were launched,
they were a pair of B-Wings. But they too failed to destroy the Imperial
freighters. In the end the freighters were able to safely make their hyperspace
jump point.
