The Rebels learned that the ISD Kotiate would be vulnerable during a resupply stop. They learned that critical supplies to the ISD had been delivered and had to be transferred to the vessel. Red Squadron led the attack, with Gold Squadron supporting and with Blue Squadron providing starfighter cover. This Rebel attack was the last time the Rebels could exploit the ISD's shield weakness, before it was corrected. The Rebels hypered into the area behind the ISD, some distance away from it. The Rebels were forced to engage the Imperial fighters that were deployed by the ISD. With Space Containers were directly below the hanger of the Star Destroyer, a Stormtrooper Transport was deployed to carry the supplies from the containers to the ISD.
Early in the battle, the Nebulon-B Frigate Bird of Prey arrived quite some distance away from the ISD. This vessel was carrying TIE Advanceds. The fighting raged on. Red 1 attacked and destroyed the ISD's shield generators, with its shields down, the B-Wings disabled the Star Destroyer. With the Star Destroyer disabled, the incompetent captain and his officers decided to evacuate the ship using two Lambda-class Shuttles. However in the end, before they could escape from the area the Rebels hunted them down and destroyed them. Before long, unfortunately the Rebels were able to destroy the disabled ISD Kotiate.
With the ISD destroyed the
Rebels turned their attention on the Nebulon-B Frigate Bird of Prey.
Also with the Star Destroyer destroyed, two Rebel BFF-1 Freighters came
out of hyperspace to collect the uncollected cargo held within the Space
Containers. With its existence being threatened the Bird of Prey
deployed its fighters which included TIE Advanceds (Before Hoth Version).
However, unfortunately that was not enough to stop the Rebels. In the end,
this disaster became even worse with the destruction of the Imperial frigate
Bird
of Prey. With Imperial Forces in the area destroyed, the Rebels hypered
out of the area.
