The A14 Repulsorlift Disk is a disk equipped with foot straps and a semicircular wraparound guard rail. It can be found in operation at building construction sites, warehouses, and shipyards. Some very civilized planets employ the A14 in a very uncommon fashion, to allow security personnel to reach and patrol the heights of city buildings. This very economical conveyance is a reliable means to move workers into awkward spaces, although it does not hold up well to any damage. With little in safety features, this design is not intended to move its operator over great distances. Its repulsorlift pocket drives and air jets are ventrally mounted, while the forward control column holds the control module and guard rail. The A14 was on the market at least around the time when the ISD was considered new. |
