Note

GOI incorrectly states cargo capacity of 3 tons. WBC states "an astromech droid may serve as co-pilot"; while GOI states the astromech droid is required. Both GG10 and WBC state the A-24 possesses a nav computer. According to GOI, the A-24 can use its nav computer or astromech droid (which has a 10 jump memory). The A-24 Sleuth Red Fang was modified to carry 2 passengers. Another A-24 was equipped with a high powered transmitter capable of sending very tight beam transmissions which are nearly undetectable; and difficult to jam. If the specific frequency and vector are known, the difficulty of signal interception is reduced. Although the signal itself is often encrypted.

The A-24 Sleuth features high sublight speed and excellent manoeuvrability for a scout craft. Despite its somewhat awkward design and being older than the more popular scout ships, the A-24 is quite sufficient for engagements with other transports. The Sleuth was designed and released during the heyday of the Incom Corporation. When employed in the espionage role the A-24 has proven elusive to detection. In the case of blockade running, the Sleuth has also seen success. Smugglers are also known to employ this craft.
