The 9000 Z001 features incredible manoeuvrability, a fact that Ubrikkian touts when attempting to quell customer dissatisfaction about its speed. This speeder was originally targeted towards the Ugor species, as evident in the 9000 Z001's design. Despite several design features, the original model attracted only a few customers. Not to waste the effort already invested in the design Ubrikkian modified the original design to produce the 9000 Z001. This speeder was on the market before the Battle of Yavin.

    To enter the original model, the speeder would elevate over the Ugor who would then flow under and up into the vehicle, which would then seal itself for travel. The new model kept this unique feature, where the 9000 Z001's chassis would rise up from its base, from which the occupants walked underneath it and allowed the vehicle to lower around them. Situated around a central shaft is a trio of seats, which unfortunately creates a yet to be solved issue of movement sickness. Ringing its spherical hull are several micro-thrusters, due to the 9000 Z001's unique design it is extremely manoeuvrable. This speeder offers little in storage space, but it does have viewports on all sides.
