The Dynasty (owned by Axtor Bridgeman) featured
stronger shields, more powerful laser cannon, 2 concussion missile
tubes, and faster hyperdrive backup; with no loss of other attributes.
The Empress's Diadem (captained by Melina Carniss) featured
2 turreted blaster cannons and 1 concussion missile tube assembly.
The Starspin owned by Cev Malanx and his partner Regec Sloom
features stronger hull and shields, 2 concussion missile launchers
and a more powerful laser cannon. TFOP states "From the
highly able YT-1210 to the cheaper (but easily-modified) YT-1300..."
= YT-1210 more expensive than YT-1300; most likely when first
introduced. |

The
YT-1210 Light Freighter was a highly able freighter that was the immediate
predecessor to the YT-1300. While this design is adequate, it lacked several
amenities and the YT-1300's speed. Once sales of the YT-1300 took off,
the YT-1210 eventually ceased production. Another possible reason for
the YT-1210's short production run could be that its initial price tag
was more expensive than that of the YT-1300. Like the YT-1300, this craft
can be found virtually all over the Galaxy. Users of this craft include
civilians and smugglers. The captain's quarters is tiny, however it did
include a few luxuries such as a small refresher station and a datapad
desk. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is forced to share a common refresher
station. When flushing the refresher station, disinfectant washes the
contents down into a holding tank. By procedure(?) the waste holding tank
is dumped just before making the jump into hyperspace.
