Note :

AIR and SOTSR states fighter name as Tocsan 8-Q, while PP and XA states fighter name as Toscan 8-Q. XA incorrectly states fighter manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems and employed by the Empire. XA demonstrates fighter can be equipped with shields.

The Toscan 8-Q Fighter was one of several designs that led to the development of the Y-Wing, hence why this fighter employs a Koensayr cockpit. This two engine fighter which is a pre-TIE era fighter can only be purchased used, since no new ones are available. Nonetheless, the Toscan Fighter remains popular with pirates and other small military forces, particularly in lower tech regions of the Galaxy such as Wild Space and the Unknown Regions. It is also known that space stations such as the privately owned Terman Station, and mercenaries employ the 8-Q. This fighter was one of the few production starfighters to be produced by Shobquix Yards.

In the case of the Tocsan 8-Q Fighter, its capabilities are almost identical to the Toscan 8-Q save for its superior speed and manoeuvrability. The m'Yalfor'ac Order (from the planet of Guiteica) model stripped the hyperdrive and modified the fighter's systems to accomplish that feat.
