The MobileMortar-3 is the combination of the MM-s3 Grenade Launcher with the WW-676 Repulsorlift Platform. Originally developed during the later years of the Old Republic, it remains in widespread use amongst Imperial, Rebel, New Republic forces, as well as planetary militaries. It must be noted however, that the WW-676 is not limited to carrying the MM-s3. Instead, an E-Web can be fitted in its place, with weapon's power generator fitted inside the ammunition locker. Normally, MobileMortar-3s are assigned to Imperial Army platoons as infantry support. When organized, four vehicles form a light mechanized infantry squad. Periodically, they work in tandem with speeder bikes for armed patrol missions.

Boasting exceptional acceleration and tremendous manoeuvrability, the WW-676 sled is an elusive target, capable of conducting impressive midair manoeuvres and rapid climbs. These advantages however come at a cost. Since the only protection afforded to the crew are their seat restraining belts, this practically unarmoured sled relies on shooting and scooting. A mere blaster bolt from a blaster rifle will seriously damage this craft. To obtain maximum protection, the MobileMortar-3 lies close to the ground, quickly popping up to barrage enemy infantry, and disappearing before receiving any retaliatory fire. Situated underneath the pilot is the ammunition locker. The individuals who man these craft hail either as Imperial Army Specialists or Biker Scouts (most likely Stormtrooper Scouts).
