Repo Run

Approximately 12 hours ago, the Interdictor Cruiser Barrier was ambushed by Rebel forces as it was exiting hyperspace. The Interdictor's escort, a squadron of Assault Gunboats and its complement of TIE Fighters were destroyed. Fortunately for the Empire, the Rebels were sloppy in their take over of the Imperial warship. Through methods only known to Imperial Intelligence, we have obtained the location of the Barrier. You are hereby ordered to take the Victory-II Star Destroyer Iron Hand and the Strike Cruisers Medusa and Phaeton to recover the Interdictor Barrier. Your complement includes 3 TIE Fighter and 1 TIE Bomber Squadrons, and 3 ATR Transports (with their accompanying troops). The Rebels are reported to have 1 XQ6 Platform, 9 Corellian Gunships, 3 Corellian Corvettes, 3 X-Wing and 1 B-Wing Squadrons.
Note that are no reinforcements available. The TIE Fighters and ATR Transports carry no warheads. The TIE Bombers are each equipped with 8 Proton Torpedoes. The X-Wings and B-Wings are fully loaded with Proton Torpedoes.

Correct Response Number 1
All TIE Fighter squadrons would head directly toward the forward escorting X-Wing squadron.  Once within optimum firing range all three TIE Squadrons would quickly wipe out the lead X-Wing squadron with their combined firepower.  They would then head straight towards the B-Wing squadron and use the same tactic to quickly destroy them.  Once the lead X-Wing squadron and B-Wing squadron were destroyed the TIE would break their remaining forces in half and each make a 180 degree turn to face the remaining fighters.  The ATR group would stay infront of our capital ships to intercept any enemy missiles fired.  A flight of 4 TIE Bombers would head towards CGNS group liberator ,and destroy them with a barrage of torpedoes.  The remaining TIE Bombers would head towards the XQ6 PLT Invisible and launch a torpedo attack. The bobmers would make shure to stay underneath it's horrizon line to avoid the majority if it's firepower.
Victory-II Star Destroyer Iron Hand and the Strike Cruisers Medusa and Phaeton would head towards Grid D-4, destroy the rebel force there ,and then head towards Gird B-4 destroying all rebel capital ships.  While on rout to Grid D-4 rear shields, weapons, and tractor beams power would be diverged to forwards shields, weapons, and tractor beams to minimize damadge and maximize effective firepower.  All remaining TIE Fighters would protect the capital ships vulnerable aft sections during the destruction of the rebel capital ships.
After the TIE Bombers had destroyed the enemy force in Gird B-2 the Assualt transports would make their way around the enemy station by making their way to grid B-2 to the captured INT.  The ATRs would then move to board the cpature INT.
With all enemy fighters, capital ships, and station destroyed.  The Imperial fleet would move to escort positians around the re-captured non-operational INT Barrier.

Galactic Empire Data Bank's Answer
The VSDII Iron Hand and the Strike Cruisers Medusa and Phaeton would first strike Corellian Gunship group Resist in grid D4. Each warship would separately target each Gunship, hit them with their tractor beams and concentrate all their fire to quickly destroy them. The ATRs and the Imperial fighters will keep their distance from the Corellian Gunships, however, they will stay near the Imperial warships. Each TIE Fighter Squadron would engage each X-Wing Squadron, while the TIE Bombers and ATRs would head towards the VSDII Iron Hand. The ATRs and TIE Bombers in support of the Imperial VSDII's guns would knock out the B-Wings. The TIE Bombers would use their torpedoes against the Gunships whenever an opportunity presented itself. With Gunship group Resist totally destroyed, both Strike Cruisers would move to engage Gunship group Liberator and its support Corvette group Mouse, while keeping their distance from the XQ6 Platform. The VSDII Iron Hand would move to engage Gunship group Endurance. The Strike Cruisers and the VSDII would hit the targeted vessels with their tractor beams to keep them in place, and then obliterate them with their other weapons. Once the Rebel capital ships have been destroyed, the Imperial warships would move to disable the platform and support the Imperial fighters. The Imperial fighters would keep the Rebel fighters from breaking off and attacking the disabled Interdictor Cruiser. Once the B-Wings have been eliminated the TIE Bombers and ATRs would assist the TIE Fighters. The Imperial fighters would attempt to keep the Rebel fighters near either the Strike Cruisers or the VSDII so that they could enjoy the support of their weapons. The ATRs must survive. The TIE Bombers would suffer the losses instead of the ATRs. Once the Rebel fighters have been eliminated and the platform disabled, the ATRs would move to capture both the platform and retake the Interdictor Cruiser Barrier.
