The Tactical Question of the Month is a test of skill to those who
are interested or want to try their Star Wars military skills in fighting
for the Galactic Empire. Some people have asked where do the people
who answer these questions get their abilities? It simple really,
if you read the novels, play the RPG and PC games you will naturally
develop the ability to formulate tactics and strategies, since you
will know the nature and how Star Wars units operate and fight. Make
sure you check what the units are capable of and pay attention to
the details in the Tactical Question to ensure a better chance of
winning. |
How does the Galactic Empire Data Bank determine
who wins the Tactical Question of the Month? |
- Does the answer pay attention to the Tactical Question
directives and details?
- Does the answer have or utilize units that were not in
the Tactical Question itself?
- Does the answer give units abilities that they do not
have? [IE: weapons, atmospheric capabilities, speed it doesn't
have, etc.]
- Does the answer utilize ordinance that is not in the Tactical
Question itself? [IE: Proton Torpedoes, Concussion Grenades,
etc.]
- Is the answer actually plausible?
- What and where did the answer direct its units to do?
- Does the answer direct units in an understandable chronological
order?
- Does the answer minimize Imperial casualties?
- Does the answer give enough detail to allow full understanding
of the answer itself?

Will the Galactic Empire Data Bank inform
me if it has received my answer? And will the GEDB inform me
if I win or lose the Tactical Question of the Month? |
Yes, GEDB sends out a confirmation E-Mail that the answer
was received. GEDB analyses all of the submitted answers at
the end of the month; that is when the persons who submitted
answers are informed if they won or lost the Tactical Question
of the Month. |
|
Why didn't I win the Tactical Question of
the Month? |
GEDB analyses all of the submitted answers using the above
criteria. After the analysis which weeds out the answers that
are fundamentally flawed (which generally lack detail or are
riddled with poor grammar and spelling making understanding
of the answer impossible), the best answers are chosen from
the remaining lot. |
|
Can I find out exactly why my answer did
not win? |
When you submit your answer include a statement at the top
of the E-Mail stating that you want an explanation as to why
your answer did not win. |
|
Where do I find my answer posted if I win
the Tactical Question of the Month? |
You will find your answer in the Tactical Question Archive
subsection of the Dark Forces Pharoah section. |
|
Can there be more than two winners for the
Tactical Question of the Month? |
Yes, there can be more than two winners for a Tactical Question
of the Month. Sometimes no one wins and other times only one
person wins. |
|
Does the Tactical Question supply all of
the info I need to win the question? |
Yes, the Tactical Question supplies all the information you
need to answer the question. All the equipment, units, enemies
and restrictions that are in the battle and apply to the battle
are stated. |
|
Do all of the Tactical Questions deal with
fighting against the Rebels? And why are the TQs centred around
serving and fighting for the Galactic Empire? |
No, not all of the Tactical Questions deal with the Rebels.
The Galactic Empire Data Bank tries to post a variety of questions
to challenge the abilities to those who answer the Tactical
Questions. Since GEDB is an Imperial web site the questions
are centred around serving and fighting for the Galactic Empire. |
