The
CSA Victory Star Destroyer is one of two variants found within the CSA's
Picket Fleet. This variant is a de-clawed version of the original design.
Currently, approximately half of all VSDs in the Picket Fleet feature
the de-clawed configuration, while the remainder conform to the original
armament specifications. When the Empire moved to decommission 520 VSDs
from the 27th Denarian Fleet to make way for Imperial-class Star
Destroyers; their weaponry was removed. As a result, the CSA purchased
surplus weapons for the 250 VSDs it acquired via a third party company.
For a moment in time, it appeared as though all
Victory Star Destroyers would be decommissioned. Two circumstances saved
this venerable warship from disappearing from the Imperial Navy: the ever
increasing activities of the hated Rebel Alliance, and the Corporate Sector
Authority's purchase of these ships (at bargain prices). It must be noted
that some CSA VSDs have mothballed their starfighter bays.

CSA employed one of its VSDs to lead its invasion of the Kalinda System.
