A lone Y-Wing was sent to
destroy new prototypes of updated TIE models that were secretly being tested
at a hidden Imperial base, after Wedge Antilles discovered one of these
hidden Imperial bases. Some of the TIEs were undergoing basic maneuver
evaluation when Y-Wing Red 2 hypered into the area. Also some of the TIEs
were being unloaded from their containers when the Rebel Y-Wing attacked.
The Rebel concentrated on the Imperial TIEs and nothing else. Some of the
TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers were stationary, while the rest were flying
around. Unfortunately, the Y-Wing was able to destroy all of the TIEs.
None of the TIEs fired a shot. After all of the prototype TIEs were destroyed
the Y-Wing hypered out of the area before Imperial Forces could retaliate.
