Imperial Forces were able to track down a Rebel spy to a salvage yard. Due to the speed of the Rebel spy's craft and the need that the spy needed to be taken alive, only a TIE Defender was up to the task. Six TIE Advanced were also brought along as support. They would destroy any opposition and then they would attack the platform. The TIE Advanced were also to help flush out the Rebel spy if the spy did not attempt to flee at the sight of the TIE Defender. For harbouring fugitives the Platform AZ 77 would be seized. The ISD Glory would oversee its capture. The prisoners and captured vessels would then be taken to the ISD Glory for "processing". All of the YT-1300 Transports were docked inside the platform. Once the TIE Defender arrived, the YT-1300 Transport Lin tried to escape but it was chased down and disabled. Moments after, ATR Sigma 1 arrived to capture the YT-1300.
In the beginning of the battle, the TIE Advanced dealt with the escort shuttles first. Then the YT-1300 Transport Ko tried to escape moments after the previous YT-1300 was disabled, but it met the same fate of being chased down and disabled. Moments after ATR Sigma 2 appeared and began to capture the YT-1300. Moments after that A-Wings Rogue 1 and 2 hypered into the area. Within moments after that the YT-1300 Transport Kaar left the platform. The A-Wings tried to stop the TIE Defender, but their efforts were futile and it resulted in their destruction. The TIE Defender was still able to disable the Rebel's ship. During this the Shuttle Poltroon made its way towards the IPV-1. A short time after the start of the battle it was able to repair the IPV-1. And with that the IPV-1 powered up for combat.
Some moments after the IPV-1
was repaired the ISD Glory came out of hyperspace. At the mid point
of the battle ATR Sigma 2 captured the platform. As soon as the TIE Defender
made an inspection run at the Bulk Freighter Renspecs, a B-Wing
launched from its false hold. The TIE Defender chased down and disabled
the fleeing B-Wing. Moments after the Imperial heavy lifter was launched
from the ISD Glory to capture the B-Wing, 4 A-Wings came out of
hyperspace. But those A-Wings were destroyed. Rebel Y-Wings arrived moments
after ATR Sigma 1 docked with the YT-1300 Transport Kaar.
However those Y-Wings, met the same fate as the previous Rebel fighters.
