When the Empire learned of coordinates of the hyperspace transit point of a large Rebel convoy that would be passing through the Rocrin System, the ISD Rage and the Interdictor Cruiser Compellor were dispatch to ambush and lay waste to the Rebels. The Rebels were pulled back into realspace and the Imperial ambush on the Rebels began. Avenger Squadron initiated the attack by engaging the Rebel Convoy's 12 A-Wing escorts, while at the same time identifying the convoy ships as opportunities presented themselves. Beta Squadron would only destroy a Rebel convoy vessel after it was identified. Gamma Squadron stayed close to the Imperial capital ships to protect them. They engaged any A-Wings that came too close to the Imperial capital ships. The A-Wings were concentrating their attacks on Beta Squadron's TIE Bombers, since they posed the greatest threat to the Rebel convoy. Some time after the A-Wings were eliminated, Rebel X-Wings hypered into the area to begin their torpedo attack on the Interdictor Compellor in an attempt to save the remaining Rebel convoy ships. With that the Rebels only hope was to force the Interdictor flee, the Rebel convoy turned itself around to engage and attempt to drive off the Interdictor, all the while dealing with Imperial starfighters and the ISD Rage to get to the Interdictor. In the end however, the Rebels did not succeed in their plan and all of their forces in the area were destroyed. Unfortunately, the Rebel X-Wings did manage to cause the Interdictor Cruiser Compellor to lose most of its shield strength. The Rebel convoy was inspected on orders by Admiral Senn, so the Empire would be able to determine the Rebels plans. The contents of the convoy were everything needed to build a large base or production facility. With the destruction of the Rebel convoy, evidence continued to mount on a substantial Rebel build-up in this sector.
