The ISD Intrepid had suffered damage due to a collision with a frigate and was awaiting repairs. Meanwhile Rebel Circarpous Sector Command was working on a plan to get the Death Star plans to Rebel Alliance High Command, while Imperial Forces were continuing the search for Rebel forces. In order to strand the ISD Intrepid, it was ordered that the hyperdrive replacements for the ISD had to be destroyed. The Rebels arrived approximately 10 km away from the ISD Intrepid. The ISD Intrepid was ringed by the freighters carrying the supplies. Farlander was being escorted by Blue Squadron. The TIE Fighters on patrol headed directly towards the Rebels. The A-Wings engaged the nearest pair of TIE Fighters and Farlander joined them in a head-on attack. Soon the other pair of TIE Fighters joined the melee as Farlander worked his way toward the nearest freighter.
Before the Rebels could destroy the last of the TIE Fighters, a pair of TIE Interceptors were launched. A minute after, 4 TIE Interceptors were launched. About four minutes into the battle, Farlander made it to the first freighter, which was Kiam IV. However the freighter was not carrying the hyperdrive spares, so Farlander moved toward the next freighters in a counter-clockwise rotation through the ring of freighters around the ISD. Another pair of TIE Interceptors were launched. The next freighter was Kiam III which had the hyperdrive spares, so Farlander launched all of his proton torpedoes at the freighter and destroyed it. Farlander next encountered the Freighter Kiam II but it had supplies, so he kept moving.
Another pair of TIE Interceptors
were launched. Farlander was constantly weaving to evade all of the TIE
Interceptors, and even with the recharge rates at maximum, his shields
were gradually weakening due to the fire from the TIE Interceptors. Farlander
then reached the Freighter Kiam V, which had more hyperdrive parts.
And with that Farlander engaged and destroyed several of the TIE Interceptors
pursuing him, while circling around the freighter. He was unfortunately
able to destroy that freighter, before he reached the last freighter, he
was informed he had completed his mission. With that Farlander escaped
into hyperspace as soon as he had fully recharged his shields.
