After patient observation of a Rebel supply cache, the Empire was rewarded with an opportunity to destroy a Rebel Nebulon-B Frigate. The Rebel Nebulon-B Frigate Inamo would be vulnerable during a refit. With that in mind, the Empire decided to strike. A squadron of TIE Advanced were split into two groups, Alpha and Beta. Alpha group initiated the attack by hypering into the area 6 seconds before Beta group. Alpha group headed directly toward the Rebel frigate which was 9 km away while Beta group headed towards the supply cache which was less than 4 km away. Many moments after the start of the battle, Rebel X-Wings hypered into the area some distance away. However the X-Wings were unable to stop Alpha group from accomplishing their mission. The Rebel Stormtrooper Transport Mule 1 which was working in the supply cache attempted to flee but it was destroyed.

    Alpha group quickly destroyed the Rebel frigate in a barrage of heavy rockets, while Beta group engaged the X-Wings. The MC80 Ardent arrive after all of the supplies and the Rebel frigate were destroyed. The MC80 deployed its squadron of Z-95 Headhunters. Though most of Alpha group's heavy rockets were expended, the pressed an attack on the MC80. The engagement caused severe damage to the MC80. Once its hull had reached the 50% mark a shuttle was launched. However that shuttle did not get far. Unfortunately the MC80 was able to escape its destruction in this engagement. Soon after two waves of 6 A-Wings arrived. But they met the fate that the MC80 Ardent was able to escape.
