As the Rebels expected, the Empire came back in a far greater force to follow up on the missing recon flights. This is when the Imperial Forces witness the detonation of the Interdictor Compellor and the destruction of the four Stormtrooper Transports that were sent out to secure the Interdictor. The Empire was not aware that the Interdictor Compellor had been stripped of its gravity well projectors, which caused the Empire to end its search for the missing cruiser. In retribution however, Imperial Forces tracked a Lambda-class Shuttle leaving the hanger bay of the Compellor and entering the Factory, so Imperial Forces launched an attack on the factory. In response, the Rebels arrived at the factory to stop its destruction and to help evacuate those on board the factory in hopes that would convince the Airam to join the Rebel Alliance. Rogue Squadron and Green Squadron were sent to cover the Rebel Medium Transports docking operations with the factory to get the persons off of it and safely away into hyperspace. The Rebels arrived in time at the factory to witness the launching of the TIEs from the ISDs into combat. Green Squadron attacked the corvettes to prevent them from getting into range of the factory, while Rogue Squadron went to deal with the TIE Bombers to prevent them from launching their heavy rockets at the factory and at the same time engage the TIE Interceptors. Avenger Squadron hypered into the area to assist in the destruction of the factory by attempting to clear out the Rebel starfighter opposition. The YT-1300 Ranger helped in the battle against the Empire by engaging the nearest starfighters to its position, however throughout the battle, it always had some sort of skirmish with the TIE Advanced from Avenger Squadron. In the end, the Rebels were able to eliminate all of the Imperial starfighters in the area, destroy the corvettes that were headed towards the factory to attack it and they were able to cause heavy damage to both the ISD Judicator and the ISD Titan to force them into retreat. The Rebel transports safely made it out of the area with the factory still intact. The YT-1300 piloted by Clan Leader Tamaron was still intact and hypered out of the area safely along with the remaining Rebel starfighters.
