When Wedge Antilles of Rogue
Squadron was shot down in the canyons of Kile II, he was captured by Imperial
Forces and then transferred to the spice mines of Kessel. Once on Kessel,
the Rebels had to disable the Imperial Armoured Hovertrain before it reach
and passed through the Central Station which would lead to the prison.
It was Kasan Moor who provided the likely location of Wedge Antilles and
provided information that an Imperial Armoured Hovertrain would be transporting
captured Rebels to the Central Station before moving on to the prison.
When Rogue Squadron arrived one of the pilots of Rogue Squadron informed
Skywalker that a 3 Imperial Cargo Vehicle convoy was carrying a lot of
human-life readings, that could indicate where Antilles could be. However,
Commander Skywalker listened to Kasan Moor. The Imperial Armoured Hovertrain
was passing nearby from the 3 transport convoy and it was located by the
Rebels. One of the pilots of Rogue Squadron did a long-range scan and found
Antilles on the Hovertrain. The Rebels began their Ion Cannon attacks on
the Hovertrain, destroyed some of the fixed defences, an intercepting TIE
Interceptor and most likely a couple of AT-STs during their rescue of Antilles.
Unfortunately in the end Rogue Squadron was successful, however it was
a close call for them, since they almost lost Antilles to the Empire. Once
the Rebels disabled the Armoured Hovertrain, they brought Wedge Antilles's
X-Wing to the Hovertrain so Antilles could escape with the rest of Rogue
Squadron off of Kessel.
