With Clan Leader Ilay in the retched hands of the Rebels, they had effectively prevented her faction from joining the Galactic Empire. During her interrogation, Airam Clan Leader Ilay revealed that part of her negotiated deal with the Empire included new recruits and supplies for them. The Bulk Freighter Convoy was to rendezvous with the SSD Vengeance to transfer their cargos over. When the Rebels starfighters hypered into the area, they arrived to see the first wave of freighters on their way towards the SSD Vengeance. The SSD Vengeance was being escorted by the ISD Rage. One of the pilots from Rogue Squadron did an inspection of the freighters and the following waves of freighters. Any freighters carrying conscripts were disabled and the other freighters which were carrying warheads were destroyed by Green Squadron. When the Bulk Freighters were targeted for the first time they would launch their only Advanced Concussion Missile at the Rebel starfighter that targeted them. The Rebels had to do this while all the while being engaged by TIE Fighters. Once a Bulk Freighter carrying the conscripts wa disabled, a Rebel Lambda-class Shuttle would hyper into the area. The shuttles would dock with the freighters and then they would capture them, then both the shuttle and the Bulk Freighter would escape into hyperspace. Some time after the battle started, the ISD Rage hypered out of the area. The Rebels somehow managed to destroy all the starfighters that were launched by the SSD Vengeance and destroy the warhead carrying Bulk Freighters. With that the SSD Vengeance hypered out of the area and headed towards the Rebel's Shipyard, which the Rebels received an emergency message from. The "rescued" Airam conscripts told the Rebels that they would be undergoing basic flight training, then be sent out to engage Rebel forces in suicide attacks. With the convoy destroyed, the SSD Vengeance was low on starfighters and supplies and to the Rebels it was their time to strike.
