Rebel Intelligence gathered information on a secret rendezvous location where the Empire would be transferring Mon Calamari forced labourers and war materiel to the arriving ISD Warrior. X-Wings from Red Squadron first hypered into the area and engaged the TIE Fighters protecting transfer area. The 6 TIE Fighters protecting the area moved to engage the Rebel raiders. Moments after the battle started Y-Wings from Gold Squadron arrived behind the X-Wings, who were engaged with the TIE Fighters. The Y-Wings disabled the Imperial freighters in the area to prevent them from leaving. Some time after they disabled the freighters, Gold Squadron hypered out of the area. X-Wing pilot Halley Kadorto identified which craft were carrying the Mon Calamari forced labourers, since the TIEs in the area were zeroing in on them. And with that Rebel freighters hypered into the area. Freighter Citadel 1 docked with the space container containing the Mon Calamari, while Citadel 2 docked with the Imperial freighter Wiggins also containing Mon Calamari.

    The Rebel transfer operation was planned to be concluded before the arrival of the ISD Warrior, however the Star Destroyer arrived early. With both of the freighters collecting the Mon Calamari, the ISD launched TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers to deal with the Rebels. To prevent the Rebels from recovering the Mon Calamari forced labourers, the TIE Bombers were equipped with proton torpedoes to destroy the Imperial craft holding the Mon Calamari. Halley Kadorto soon realized this and unfortunately was able to destroy wave after wave of Imperial starfighters that were sent after the Rebels. Once the Rebels got what they came for, the Rebel freighters hypered out of the area, while Red Squadron destroyed all of the Imperial space containers and freighters in plain view of the ISD Warrior before hypering out of the area themselves.
