Opposed from the beginning
of the Airam Council's decision to aid the Rebellion was Airam Clan Leader
Ilay. Upon witnessing the losses on the Airam for their support for the
Rebels, Clan Leader Ilay requested a meeting to discuss terms for their
incorporation into the Galactic Empire. She promised to assist the Empire
in tracking down the Rebels and any other Airam Clans who would remain
hostile towards the Empire. In response to Clan Leader Ilay's request Admiral
Senn directed the ISD Rage to rendezvous with her near Aiqin 4 to begin
the process of joining the Empire. Airam Clan Leader Ilay made it to the
rendezvous but she was being pursued by by a rival clan. Avenger and Talon
Squadrons were providing honour guard. They were racing towards Comm Sat
116H-XT to meet up with Ilay's Corvette and Escort Shuttles. The rival
clan came out of hyperspace moments after Ilay and her escorts did. The
rival force was made up of R-41 Starchasers and Muurian Transports. They
targeted Ilay's corvette. Her escorts broke off to deal with the attackers.
By this time the Imperial Honour had reached the battle scene and engaged
the rival clan. During the battle, Clan Leader Ilay's First Lieutenant
turned traitor, but that traitor would not survive this battle. Unfortunately
during the battle, Clan Leader Ilay's remaining escorts were destroyed
which left the entire job up the Imperial Forces. The R-41 Starchasers
attacked any target of opportunity, while the Muurian Transports concentrated
on the CR90 Corellian Corvette Magua with Ilay on it. Nearing the end of
the battle, two Modified Corvettes with the same name hypered into the
area to directly attack and destroy Corellian Corvette Magua before it
could reach the ISD Rage. However with the efforts of the Empire both Corvettes
were destroyed before they could accomplish their mission. In the end all
of the rival clan's forces were destroyed and CR90 Corellian Corvette Magua
was able to reach and dock in the hanger of the ISD Rage. After the battle
the Lambda-class Shuttle Lambda 1 was launched and hypered out of the area.
Clan Leader Ilay's open support of the Empire earned her recognition from
the Emperor as the legitimate leader of her people.
