Rogue Squadron was assigned by General Carlist Rieekan to protect Crix Madine's Y-Wings while they disable the escaping Imperial Governor's Luxury Yachts that were carrying the looted treasures of Gerrard V. The cowardly Imperial Governor of Gerrard V was looting a city and using his Luxury Yachts to carry off the stolen treasures, since Gerrard V is trying to gain its independence from the Galactic Empire. The Rebels would prevent the Governor from taking the treasures so they could be returned to the citizens of Gerrard V. When the 3 Rebel Y-Wings and 4 X-Wings arrived at the first part of the city 2 Luxury Yachts were able to escape. The Rebels did not encounter any Imperial starfighters at all, the X-Wings concentrated their attacks on the planetary defences while the Y-Wings disabled the 3 Luxury Yachts that were hovering over the city buildings. Soon after the fixed defences were destroyed 4 AT-PTs coming from different locations and times came to join the fight against the Rebels, but they were most likely destroyed by the X-Wings. Meanwhile, Wedge Antilles in another X-Wing was on the other side of the planet encountered the feared Imperial 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron. Wedge Antilles being chased by two TIE Interceptor's from the 128th, made a frantic call to Skywalker about the presence of the Imperial 128th on Gerrard V, Skywalker ordered Antilles to hold them off the best he could. With the yachts disabled the Y-Wings went through a small canyon to get to the other part of the city, in the canyon the Y-Wings encountered 2 AT-PTs that were most likely destroyed by Skywalker, while the X-Wings went over the hill to the other part of the city where Antilles would arrive. Once again the X-Wings concentrated their firepower on the fix defences there, to thereby keep the Y-Wings safe and they also most likely destroyed the AT-PTs guarding that part of the city, moments later after the X-Wings started their attack the 128th was able to engage the rest of the Rebel force. The X-Wings kept the Y-Wings safe by keeping the 128th busy with them. Crix Madine's Y-Wings went to work on disabling the remaining 3 Luxury Yachts. At the end of the battle one of the Y-Wings engaged Lieutenant Kasan Moor, the leader of the Imperial 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron and was able to purse her. Nearing the end of the pursuit her TIE Interceptor still flying had been disabled for a good two standard minutes, she made contact with the Rebel Pilot in the Y-Wing. The Rebel told her to consider herself a prisoner of the Rebel Alliance, however this is where Kasan Moor committed her treachery against the Galactic Empire, this is where she offered her defection to the Rebellion.
