The Imperial Strike Cruiser
Ull had surprised the Rebel Dreadnaught Karei and it was closing rapidly
on the Rebel ship to engage and destroy it before it could escape into
hyperspace. Strike Cruiser Ull deployed Avenger and Talon Squadrons, while
the Rebel Dreadnaught deployed Rogue and Blue Squadrons. Avenger Squadron
was directed to take out Rogue Squadron while Talon Squadron torpedoed
the Dreadnaught Karei. Early in the battle the Rebels called for their
B-Wing reinforcements in an attempt to defeat Imperial Forces. The B-Wings
went straight for the Strike Cruiser. Talon Squadron was able to inflict
considerable damage on the Rebel Dreadnaught. After they fired off their
load of warheads or had taken heavy damage, the survivors returned to the
hanger of the Strike Cruiser Ull. Not long after the Strike Cruiser Ull
was in position and was trading fire with the Rebel Dreadnaught. The fire
fight did not last long. Strike Cruiser Ull was able to disable the Rebel
Dreadnaught with its ion cannons after the Rebels ship's shields had collapsed.
Unfortunately, Rebel starfighters were able to collapse the Strike Cruiser's
shields and cause some hull damage. It was not long after that the remaining
Rebel starfighters were eliminated. With Rebel starfighter opposition eliminated,
all remaining Imperial starfighters concentrated their fire on the disabled
Rebel Dreadnaught and destroyed it.
