In response to the attack the Dimoks made to their convoy, the Ripoblus conducted a reprisal raid on a Dimok deep space research platform. Their attack force consisted of 2 Modified Corvettes and 4 Assault Transports. However, they had other ships in reserve. With that the Empire came in the aid of the Dimok station to ensure that neither side of the civil war would gain the advantage. The Empire also wanted to ensure that the Sepan Civil War would not escalate and spill over into neighbouring star systems. Meanwhile the Secret Order was interested in the kind of research that was being conducted at the Dimok research facility. So the VSD Protector launched 3 TIE Bombers to destroy one of the Ripoblus corvettes in hopes of causing their withdraw from the battle. However this would not be so.
Stele had the quarter master switch his payload of proton torpedoes to heavy rockets on his TIE Bomber before he launched. He was following his flight leader to destroy the Modified Corvette Galliot when the Assault Transport Sabre came out of hyperspace almost on top of Stele's TIE Bomber. With that Stele destroyed the newly arrived Assault Transport with a pair of heavy rockets. After that Stele fired another pair of heavy rockets at his original target. When the Ripoblus Frigate hypered into the area, Stele attacked it. After which he returned back to the VSD and called for a warhead reload. When Stele was attacking the frigate he kept his line of fire on the Ripoblus frigate while being positioned below the VSD. Stele kept unleashing heavy rockets until the frigate was destroyed.
With the losses of the frigate
and a few more Assault Transports, Ripoblus Forces began to withdraw from
their defeat in this battle. Stele then turned his attention on the Dimok
platform, inspecting it and its cargo containers. With the discovery of
weapons, Stormtrooper Transports were launched to capture the cargo container
and the Dimok research facility. Stele did what he could to assist the
Stormtrooper Transports. After the Stormtroopers captured the cargo container
and the platform, an Imperial Lambda Shuttle was launched from the VSD
Protector,
which Stele was able to inspect. The shuttle went into hyperspace soon
after it was launched.
