The Rebels sent out a task
force in an attempt to destroy or severely damage the ISD Conqueror.
Once the ISD Conqueror had engaged the Rebels, 3 Imperial squadrons
were deployed to deal with the Rebel threat. The TIE Interceptors provided
cover for the TIE Bombers, so that the bombers could safely destroy the
Rebel ships. Meanwhile Avenger Squadron was engaging the Rebel starfighters.
The TIE Bombers were able to cause severe damage to the Rebel Nebulon-B2
Frigate Lion, causing it to start its retreat out of the area. The
TIE Bombers switched their attention and were also able to successfully
destroy the Nebulon-B Frigate Ornik. After that frigate's destruction,
TIE Bombers turned their attention on the Nebulon-B2 Frigate Lance,
they were able to cause heavy damage to the vessel, however the vessel
never got the chance to escape, since the TIE Bomber finished off the job.
The remaining Rebel frigate (the Lion) moved into position and traded
fire with the ISD Conqueror, but the Rebel vessel would not survive,
since the ISD made short work of the frigate. During this battle the Rebels
were able to cause moderate damage to the ISD Conqueror's shields.
The Rebels called for their Y-Wing reinforcements, but they arrived moments
after the last Rebel frigate was destroyed. As if on queue Imperial reinforcement
Assault Gunboats arrived on the scene, but they did not get the chance
to engage any of the Rebels. With this great defeat, the Rebels saw no
point in continuing this losing battle and all of the remaining Rebel starfighters
hypered out of the area.
