The construction of the new frontier platform NL-1 was proceeding well and all of its systems were operational except the shields. The shields were only operating at 50% of their normal level. The final work on the platform was to be finished shortly. To prevent the Rebels and the Pakuuni Pirates from disrupting construction of this new platform which would allow intergalactic commerce to flourish again under a strong Imperial presence, 2 TIE Interceptors, 3 TIE Bombers and 3 Assault Gunboats were deployed to protect the station. The Secret Order made it aware to Stele that they wanted to capture a craft carrying high ranking Rebels, so that they could obtain more information on Rebel plans in this sector. Before Stele launched, he had his weapons load switched from the assigned proton torpedoes to concussion missiles.
Some moments after the start of the battle, the Imperial Bulk Freighters that were in the area, hypered out. Some moments after the freighters had hypered out of the area, the Rebels made their attack. It was a pair of A-Wings which led the attack against Imperial Forces. After destroying them with his concussion missiles, Stele went after the Y-Wings. After which the Rebel Modified Corvettes arrived. With that, Stele ordered his wingmen to destroy the modified corvettes. At this point in the battle, the combat between Imperial Forces and the Rebel Forces intensified. Just before the Rebel corvettes were destroyed, the Rebel Lambda Shuttle Shakker was launched from Rebel Modified Corvette Moori 1.
Stele took the initiative
and inspected the shuttle, upon Stele's discovery of Rebel Officers, the
Stormtrooper Transports Soryi was launched to capture it. The station
convoy was to arrive 5 standard minutes and 15 standard seconds into the
battle. Stele used his last concussion missile on the escaping Rebel shuttle.
He then switched to ion cannons and disabled it. While Stele was in the
process of disabling the Rebel shuttle, Rebel Stormtrooper Transports arrived,
which were quickly destroyed by other Imperial fighters. After all of the
remaining Rebels had been destroyed, the VSD Stalwart dropped out
of hyperspace. Due to the Rebels' attack, the platform suffered minor damage,
however repairs and the last of the construction were well under way. This
platform was intended to become a major Imperial Outpost in this sector.
With his success in this battle, Stele was promoted to Commander.
