With the Imperial Fleet massing near the Airam Sector, Rebel High Command ordered a full mobilization of all available Rebel Forces to assist in their attempts to defend their interests in this sector. Therefore, Rebel High Command ordered the deployment of B-Wings in the Airam Sector, so a convoy was sent out to deliver the B-Wings to the Rebel Headquarters that were established in this sector. Rogue and Gold Squadrons were ordered to escort a convoy of Rebel ships carrying B-Wings en route to their hyperspace point. The Rebel starfighters were already waiting when the Rebel convoy came out of hyperspace to go to their next hyperspace point. Without warning, Assault Gunboats came out of hyperspace to attack the Rebel Escort Carrier. After the first wave of Assault Gunboats, Imperial Nebulon-B Frigate Lighting and the Nebulon-B Frigate Damocles came out of hyperspace and let loose their TIEs to engage the Rebel ships. The TIE Bombers targeted the Escort Carrier. Unfortunately both the Assault Gunboats and the TIE Bombers were defeated before the could get the chance to destroy the Escort Carrier. In the end unfortunately, the Rebels were able to defeat the Imperial TIEs and were able to inflict heavy damage upon the Imperial frigates, forcing both into retreat. However, Imperial forces were able to inflict minimal losses upon the Rebel convoy. The Rebel convoy led by the Escort Carrier Gallant and the Rebels starfighter escorts safely hypered out of the area to deliver the B-Wings to their intended destination. With the B-Wings in Rebel hands, the Rebels could unfortunately now begin to plan offensive operations against Imperial Forces that were pursuing them in this sector.
