Admiral Zaarin's negotiations with the Habeen had reached a pivotal point. All of the business terms of the hyperdrive technology transfer deal had been hammered out. What remained was the Habeen's wish to formalize relations with the Galactic Empire. What needed to be done was the formal signing of the agreement and the recognition of the Habeen and their full rights as Imperial citizens. A shuttle to shuttle meeting was to take place where the final business contracts were to be signed. TIE Interceptors and TIE Bombers were deployed to maintain a perimeter defence. The Empire did its best to keep the rendezvous site a secret. Moments after the start of the battle, the Habeen Frigate Lendova entered the area and launched the Shuttle Fairfax. The Lambda Shuttle Nexus was almost immediately launched afterwards. Shortly after the start of the battle, both of the shuttles docked to begin the finalizing of the agreements and contracts.
At 1 standard minute and
15 standard seconds into the battle, Nharwaak Y-Wings and corvettes entered
the area. In response, Stele ordered his wingmen to attack the Y-Wings,
while he went after one. Once Stele got a missile lock on one of Y-Wings,
he unleashed two pairs of concussion missiles at it, destroying it. Stele
then went after another Y-Wing. Soon after more Nharwaak Y-Wings had appeared.
Stele ordered his wingmen to attack the Corvette Phazer 1, while
he destroyed its dorsal turret. He did the same to the Corvette Phazer
2. Stele followed with a pass on the ventral turrets using concussion
missiles. As both of the Nharwaak corvettes moved by the Habeen frigate,
the frigate opened fire on them, destroying the Corvette Phazer 1.
Stele turned his attention back on the attacking Y-Wings. Then, the transports
carrying the promised technology to the Empire were being launched from
the Habeen frigate. In the end all of the Nharwaak attackers were destroyed.
It was learned from Stele's inspection of the transports that they were
transporting a new type of hyperdrive technology which was not negotiated
by the Empire.
