As part of the first mission
in the Imperial Navy's Operation "Clean Sweep", the Imperial Dreadnaught
Warlover was sent out to destroy a Rebel deep space supply cache
in the Esyram System. The Imperial vessel dropped out of hyperspace near
the MC80a Valorous. The Dreadnaught deployed its TIE Interceptor
and TIE Bomber Squadron. The TIE Bombers targeted the supply containers
while the TIE Interceptors engaged the Rebel starfighters. Once the TIE
Bombers were in range, they let off their proton torpedo load at the containers.
Early in the battle the Rebels called for their reinforcements. The TIE
Bombers kept heading towards the containers to finish the remainder off.
The reinforcement Gold and Blue Squadrons targeted the TIE Bombers. Gold
Squadron eventually switched from attacking the TIE Bombers to attacking
the Dreadnaught Warlover. However, during the fighting the Rebels
did managed to get one container of supplies on board the MC80a Valorous.
They needed to have at least two on board, but Imperial Forces ensured
that the Rebels did not get another supply container on board. With their
supplies destroyed, the MC80a Valorous and all the Rebel starfighters
in the Esyram System hypered out the area with not enough supplies and
with defeat.
