The Empire had been busy in the destruction of Rebel probes in the Airam Sector, which caused the Rebels to have little information on Imperial Fleet current whereabouts. The treacherous Airam Clan Leader Tamaron had a spy infiltrate Airam Clan Leader Ilay who was co-operating with the Galactic Empire, his solution to the Rebel problem was providing the location rendezvous location between Clan Leader Ilay on board her Dreadnaught Kala'din and the Imperial Delegates on board the ISD Rage for negotiations. The Rebels sent Rogue Squadron and Green Squadron for the attack. They arrived in time to witness the arrival of the ISD Rage and Clan Leader Ilay's Dreadnaught. The Dreadnaught came out of hyperspace a short distance from below the bow of the ISD. Ilay's starfighter escorts also hypered into the area and immediately went after the Rebels starfighters. Before the starfighters of both sides could engage, the ISD Rage launched the Lambda-class Shuttle S-71 carrying delegates to the Dreadnaught so negotiations could begin. And soon after the launching of the shuttle, the ISD Rage launched starfighters into combat. The Rebels were fully engaged with the Airam forces. One Rebel pilot from Rogue Squadron kept on going not to get too entangled in the starfighter battle with the Airam and headed straight for the Imperial Shuttle carrying the Imperial Delegates. The Rebel unfortunately destroyed the Shuttle before it could transfer the delegates to the Dreadnaught. It was very soon when Imperial starfighters started to engage the Rebel. However, the Airam did not last long against the Rebels. TIE Bombers targeted the Rebel starfighters with concussion missiles in an attempt to destroy them. Once it was confirmed that Clan Leader Ilay was on board the Dreadnaught by Rogue Squadron, the B-Wings from Green Squadron attacked the Dreadnaught and disabled it for boarding. With the Dreadnaught disabled, the Rebels sent in their CR90 Corellian Corvette Storm to send a boarding party on board to capture the clan leader and the B-Wings helped out Rogue Squadron against the starfighter opposition. With the arrival of the Rebels' corvette, Assault Gunboats from Talon Squadron came out of hyperspace to engage and disable the corvette. Not long after Ilay's starfighters were defeated, leaving the Rebels to contend with the remaining Imperial starfighters. Late in the battle TIE Advanced from Avenger Squadron hypered in to engage the Rebels. Unfortunately in the end, the Rebels were able to stop Talon Squadron from disabling the Rebel Corvette which safely hypered out of the area with the captured Airam Clan Leader Ilay which they considered to be a renegade to the Rebel Alliance and the Airam. Avenger Squadron as well was also defeated in this battle. Near the end of the battle the SSD Vengeance arrived but Admiral Senn did not order any launching of starfighters, but he did order the launching of ATR Omicron 1 which it later returned to the hanger of the SSD. The Rebels were able to destroy all of the remaining starfighters in the area before hypering out of the area.
