This attack on the Imperial
Construction Yards on Balmorra was done after the Imperial traitor Kasan
Moor supplied the Rebels the location of this hidden Imperial Base, this
base is one of many which was responsible for the production of TIEs and
Imperial walkers (AT-ATs and AT-STs). This Rebel attack did not stop the
Galactic Empire, but it unfortunately did cripple production for a little
period of time. The 3 Rebel Land Speeders from Rogue Squadron were deployed
in a canyon to attack the Imperial Construction Yards, the Rebels had to
navigate a small canyon while destroying 6 Scanner Dishes, to blind the
Imperial Base's ability to send an adequate response to the Rebel attack.
When Rogue Squadron emerged from the canyon they were greeted with a hail
of fire from a patrolling AT-AT, which the Rebel Speeders were able to
dodge in time. The Speeders began making their attack on the first Imperial
Landing Platform, but were intercepted by 3 TIE Fighters patrolling another
nearby Imperial Landing Platform, however they were destroyed by the Rebels.
Skywalker was able to trip and destroy the patrolling AT-AT using his tow
cable on the speeder, then the Rebels went to destroying most likely some
of the platform's surrounding structures and defences, which were: 1 Turbolaser,
1 storage tank, 2 Barracks with Stormtroopers, 4 cargo containers and most
likely the 9 TIE Fighters that were on the landing deck of the platform.
When or if the Barracks were destroyed the surviving Stormtroopers opened
fire on the Rebel speeders or fled in retreat. The Rebels then proceeded
to the other nearby Imperial Landing Platform and were able to catch an
Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle with its shields down and trying to take
off to escape and were able to destroy it, along with most likely some
the platform's surrounding structures and defences which were: 1 Turbolaser
and 1 Missile Turret, 2 storage tanks and 8 cargo containers and 3 Barracks
with Stormtroopers. When or if the Barracks were destroyed the surviving
Stormtroopers opened fire on the Rebel speeders or fled in retreat. Also
the Rebels most likely destroyed the 2 patrolling Scout Troopers on their
74-Z Speeder Bikes. After both Imperial Landing Platforms were attacked
the Rebels then turned their attention to the nearby AT-ST factory, which
was a single building accompanied by: 2 Barracks for Stormtroopers and
construction yard towers for the construction of 4 AT-STs which were under
construction, 14 storage containers, 4 cargo containers, 1 storage tank
and 1 construction structure. It was protected by 2 (functional) AT-STs,
a few Stormtroopers, 2 Turbolasers, 1 Missile Turret and 3 TIE Fighters.
The Rebels were able to clear the defences and destroy the entire AT-ST
factory. After the destruction of the AT-ST factory the Rebels went to
their final destination in this attack, the AT-AT factory. The AT-AT factory
was a huge 3 factory complex with: 7 cargo containers, construction towers
for 2 AT-ATs which were under construction and 2 AT-STs which were under
construction. The factory was protected by 2 Turbolasers, 2 Missile Turrets,
3 TIE Fighters, several Stormtroopers and 1 (functional) AT-AT. The Rebels
were able to defeat the Imperial Forces protecting this factory and were
able to destroy the factory itself. When Rogue Squadron destroyed one of
the three sections, which was on the right hand side, they were surprised
by a surviving AT-ST and several more Stormtroopers, but unfortunately
they were not able to defeat the Rebels. When the centre section of the
factory was destroyed, it produced no surprises to the Rebels. When
Wes Janson destroyed the left and final section of the factory, another
AT-ST survived but it was unable to engage the Rebels since it had been
toppled. With the Imperial traitor Kasan Moor on the Rebellions side, working
with Rogue Squadron the tide of the Galactic Civil War was starting to
waver in the Rebels favour.
