The Rebel Nebulon-B Frigate
Meteor was attacking the Drekker Industries Special Materials Factory.
Since the Factory's light defence the Rebels were attacking it. The factory
was only being protected by a squadron of TIE Fighters. Due to this reason,
the VSD Inexorable was sent to assist the factory. Imperial fighters
that were deployed from the factory and the VSD were to tie down the Rebel
fighters while the TIE Bombers made their attacks on the Nebulon-B Frigate
Meteor, which the Rebels could not afford serious hull damage to
that vessel. Green Squadron went after the forces launched by the VSD Inexorable
while Gold Squadron went after the forces launched by the factory. A short
time after the battle had started even more Imperial reinforcements arrived.
Stormtrooper Transports came out of hyperspace from a different vector,
to let off a volley of proton torpedoes at the Rebel frigate. However all
of the Stormtrooper Transports were destroyed by Gold Squadron before they
could cause any serious damage. During this, the Nebulon-B Frigate Meteor
had moved toward the X7 Factory Station and was trading fire with it. Eventually
all Imperial starfighters in the area were destroyed by the Rebels, which
allowed all remaining Rebel starfighters to help the Nebulon-B Frigate
Meteor to destroy the factory. When the factory was nearing destruction,
the Lambda Shuttle Fubarium was launched and was racing towards
the VSD Inexorable, but Rebel Forces destroyed the shuttle before
it could make it to the VSD. The Lambda Shuttle Tumtogo soon followed,
again, trying to make it to the VSD, but it too was destroyed. It was not
long after that the Factory Drekker was destroyed. During the battle,
the Rebel frigate's shields took quite a beating, with the destruction
of the factory its shields were barely operational. All Rebel Forces hypered
out of the area after the factory was destroyed. However the battle did
not end there, Rogue Squadron hypered into the area, and attacked the VSD
with their proton torpedoes and laser cannons. The VSD Inexorable
fought back, causing moderate losses to Rogue Squadron, but that was not
enough. Rogue Squadron was unfortunately able to destroy the VSD Inexorable.
After its destruction, they hypered out of the area.
