The Empire would be deploying a Special Operations force made up of captured Rebel craft from a forgotten and abandoned asteroid base. The Special Operations force was to conduct a brutal biological warfare attack upon the Airam, who would then hold the Rebels responsible. However a deep recon mission in Talcim Cluster revealed to the Rebels of an Imperial presence at the asteroid base. The Rebels would attack the base to destroy all Imperial Forces to prevent an attack upon themselves or to the Airam. When the Rebels did attack, it took the Empire by surprise. The Escort Shuttles were launched and were being escorted by the squadron of TIE Interceptors, so at least one shuttle could make it out of the area to continue its mission. Avenger Squadron was sent to reinforce the Imperial presence and just arrived near the jump point where the Rebels came from. Meaning that Imperial starfighters were coming towards the Rebels and Imperial starfighters that were behind the Rebels were catching up. Some of the Rebel starfighters broke off to engage the Imperial starfighters while others continued on to head towards the Escorts Shuttles which were being launched from the Asteroid Hanger. The Rebels were confused that the shuttles were Rebel, but upon closer inspection they found out their true nature and they were surprised by it. The Rebels pummelled the shuttles with proton torpedoes and laser cannons until they were destroyed. Unfortunately, none of the shuttles were able to make their jump into hyperspace, which meant that the operation could not be accomplished.
